It is often said that the world is a complicated place, full of threats, cut at every corner. They are waiting for the individual, teams, but also the planet, often unnoticed until they become irreversible. However, the exhibition of the Assets of Resistance speaks of individual social pitfalls, linked to the acceleration of late capitalism, only partially. He talks much more about how to face these consequences. The three works of the authors and authors of the middle generation, which was purchased by the Ján Koniar Gallery for their collections last year, show a high level of reflection of the surrounding world and their own position in it. They are based on various types of social critics leading to a principle of personal activation. This asset, a deposit, is not a spectacular gesture that we are often used to today. Much more is an example of building durability in collective types of searching, dialogues, or appeals, encouraging to be alerting or mindful. At the same time, they encounter one of the key tasks of contemporary art, which is care.
Video All We Could to Together (2023) OTA Hudeca examines the relationship between people and trees as an act of common protection and solidarity. It captures stories of environmental activism, illustrates how individuals and communities can achieve a specific result, although they often face failure. Stories document efforts to protect trees and natural areas from industrial interventions, pay tribute to the courage of those who have sacrificed personal comfort to preserve nature, while serving as inspiration. The narrative deliberately blurns the border between man and the tree who are perceived here as almost one entity pursuing a common goal: mutual protection. Its playing in the model situation of the television production reveals parallelism among the unresolved problems of the past and present, while serving as a means of artistic criticism of institutions. The construction is one of the important examples of interwar functionalist architecture and since 1996 it has been a national cultural monument, although dilapidated for lack of protection. Since 2011, the abandoned (RE) creation has been implementing sit-specific installation and intervention, including a performance room no. 106 (2014), where she reconstructed one room to the original state of 1932, emphasizing the importance of the act and care while maintaining the cultural heritage.
