|| ala | meda || (previously known as Alameda 5) is one of the most innovative and original bands that have emerged from the Polish underground scene in recent years. The group is famous for an approach that exceeds and mixes genres, while constantly re -discovering itself and its musical language. Whether it was a noisy jazz, affected by Neo-Krautrock on the album of the spirit of Tornada (Instant Classic, 2015) or a polyrhythmic avant-prog on Eurodrome (Instant Classic, 2019), the result was always imaginative, surprising and extended by clichés of music canons. href = "https://gout.net/en/listky/listky/tlleb/"> https://gout.net/sk/listky/listky/tlleb/
SPECTRA project (Brutality Garden, 2022/2024) Traditional and modern African and Latin American rhythms, which were to a lesser extent already present on her previous recordings. It stands on distinctly syncopted rhythms that are created by two drummers-percussists and bassists; These serve as a scaffolding for wild post-internet and deconstructed electronic collages. The new artistic direction of the band is “spectral” in many ways: it creates a disconnected continuum of different music tropes and connects into one differentiated whole such different elements such as gqom, free jazz, UK Bass, Krautrock, IDM, Post-Industria or Batida. The avant-garde encounters Afro-house and comprehensive sampling or granular synthesis are fully integrated into the frenetic live rhythm section. The main idea of the new direction of the band is the complete fusion of electronics and live playing and the removal of all the borders between high and low art, noble and vulgar, avant -garde and entertainment, music "for the soul" and "for the body". However, this is not a postmodern feast for tired spirits or nostalgic desire for long -lost unity with nature, but about new realism in the ever -changing world. It is known for strong and euphoric concerts, thanks to which she received invitations to festivals such as Square - Mapping the Atlantic in Brage, Colors of Ostrava, Positive Futures in Innsbruck, Wine Nat White Heat in Nantes and Paris, Jaiyede Jazz, Sharpe in Bratislava, Unsound in Krakow, Unsound in Krakow, Unsound in Krakow Festival in Warsaw and Wroclaw, ethnies festival in Bydgoszczi, Katowice Jazzart and many others.
