Young Slovak jazz pianist Alan Bartuš has achieved another significant international success. The renowned American magazine DownBeat included him among the "Jazz Soloists for the Future", which marked him as one of the most prominent up-and-coming personalities of world jazz.
On this occasion, Alan Bartuš will play two exceptional concerts in Slovakia with his international quartet. The concerts of the Slovak tour will take place on June 7 at Nádvorí SOS, Dolná 35 in Banská Bystrica. The second Slovak concert will be played by the quartet on June 10 at Klub pod Lampou in Bratislava.
Multi-time Grammy winner, African-American saxophonist Wayne Escoffery, who is one of the respected names of the world jazz scene, will join the project as a special guest. During his career he collaborated with legends such as Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Tom Harrell.

DownBeat magazine highlighted Bartuš's artistic maturity, originality and distinctive author's voice in its profile. Pianist Danny Grissett said of him: "Alan is a very strong soloist, with a bold voice and the potential to become one of the leading voices of his generation." Alan Bartuš is one of the most outstanding talents of the young generation of European jazz. He is a semi-finalist of the prestigious Herbie Hancock International Jazz Piano Competition, holder of the Dave Brubeck Composer Award, Ö1 Austrian Jazz Prize and other international awards. He studied in Vienna (MUK, JAM MUSIC LAB) and at the Manhattan School of Music in New York.
