Albertina - Faszination Papier

Albertina - Fascination of Paper

The ALBERTINA houses one of the largest collections of drawings, prints and artistic works on paper in the world. Drawing from this rich fund, this extraordinary show is dedicated to the diversity and fascination of paper in all its facets.

Across eras, several centuries from the 15th century to the present, the exhibition brings together works from the graphic collection, the architectural collection and the collection of contemporary art: copper engravings of playing cards, monumental multi-part and three-dimensional objects as well as rarely shown works illustrate the range of this unique collection and art genre. The versatility of the paper medium is showcased through surprising comparisons.
