The talented and wide-ranging Swedish singer Albin Lee Meldau has already made a name for himself at this stage in his career firmly on the Scandinavian peninsula, but is also well on his way to conquering the rest of the world.
Back in 2017 he was one of the breakout stars at the SXSW festival in Texas in 2017 and on that basis got opportunity to do one of NPR's coveted Tiny Desk gigs following the release of his two EPs, Lovers and Bloodshot. Now he announces his new album, 'Discomforts,' which is the first since the Swedish-language LP 'På svenska' and which will cement his international success.
The album is a marriage of all his major influences, from soul to reggae, blues to alt-rock, bound together by his unmistakable and heartfelt voice. Lyrically, he has never sounded so free. These songs are chapters in his life, harking back to his wilder, more turbulent years and reflecting on how lucky he is to still be alive.
Look forward to an artistically strong night at the venue Amager Bio with Albin Lee Meldau's fantastic vocals as the focal point.
