Alda and Marie (Alda E Maria: POR Aqui Tudo Bem, 98 min, directed by Pocas Pascoal, 2011, DCP, Portugal, in Portuguese with Czech subtitles)
In the early 1980s, the middle -class parents send their two adolescent daughters from Luanda to Europe in the early 1980s to protect them from a possible levy in the army and involvement in the civil war. Alda and Maria are only one to the other in Lisbon and are quickly running out of funds. They face the pitfalls of the city, which is after the fall of the right -wing dictatorship and the end of the colonial empire in chaos and decline. Sometimes they get help from random people with African roots who have understanding for their situation, but not everyone has good intentions with them.
The introductory word Klára Trsková. Lusofest, FF muni and cinema art.
