The Polish Language and Culture Center of the UMB, The Polish Book Institute, the Polish Institute in Bratislava, Hogo Fogo Jazz & Art Club invite you to the author's meeting with Dr. Aleksandra Wojtaszek, author of the Fjaka reportage book. Croatian season. In his book, he talks about the history of the Hajduk Split football team, dissatisfied war veterans, former twigs from privatized factories that took things into their hands, prisoners from Croatian concentration camps, residents extinct languages, Croatian nationalism and other -isms, about several presidents and one peasant king. Last but not least, it, naturally, is also affected by tourism, especially its other side. The book was published in the Slovak translation of Karol Chmel at Absynt. He has a doctorate from literary science and lectures at the Institute of Slavic Philology of Jagel University. In 2023, she published a professional book Topography of Imaginary spaces on Serbian and Croatian genre literature, as well as a reportage-e-mail book Fjaka with the subtitle Croatian Season, in which it reviews the past and present of Croatia with unusual angles of perspective. He cooperates with the weekly Tygodnik Powszechny and with the Krakow Cultural Magazine Herito. She was also a scholarship player of the international program Connecting Emerging Literary Artists 2019 - 2023 and the winner of the UNESCO Krakow Award - City of Literature.
