About event
We invite you to the final 52nd concert of the Hudba dneška cycle at SNG [in the Auditorium of the VŠMU]. which will feature the Slovak ensemble Alia Amnis.
📅 November 26, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.
📍 KS Dvorana VŠMU, Zochova 1, Bratislava
The ensemble Alia Amnis operates in Košice and was created during the lockdown period - at a time when artists were looking for new ways to share their artistic expressions without direct contact with the audience. Behind the ensemble's poetic name is the idea of creating symbiosis despite the uniqueness of the individual members of the ensemble: amnis (like a lost stream in the depths of the earth) and alias (difference). The focus of the ensemble's repertoire is music of the 20th and 21st centuries. In the interpretations of Alia Amnis, various sound options of musical instruments, singing and recitation are intermingled, which in combination with electronics create original, emotionally tense and sometimes even exalted musical surfaces.
In the East Slovak region, this type of ensemble is unique in its artistic focus and the unconventional combination of the human voice with an innovative instrumental cast.
Concert program:
Lucia Chuťková – Metro 90
Viera Janárčeková – Drei Chansons für Mascha
Jana Kmiťová – TexTy I.
Lenka Novosedlíková – Study of Banality VI. "space"
Martina Kachlová – The Sounds of Mauer
Barbora Tomášková – Len to
Performers:
Iveta Vajó Vladyková (mezzo-soprano), Frederika Pöhmová (accordion), Jana Santovjáková (recorder), Lenka Novosedlíková (vibraphone)
