About event
Alice in Wonderland is a work written by Lewis Carroll in 1865, included in the "nonsense" literary genre. This book is known for its unique and surreal narrative, which develops with the characteristic logic of dreams.
The story follows Alice, an extremely curious girl, who, while chasing a white rabbit, falls into its path. touch and be transported to a fantasy world. This dreamlike kingdom is inhabited by strange and wonderful beings, where Alice lives fantastic, unexpected and certainly unforgettable adventures.
Lewis Carroll used a rich combination of linguistic resources and mathematical riddles, creating a satire that reflected both the people in his social circle and the Victorian society of the time. The work is notable for its ability to entertain and, at the same time, provoke profound reflections, today being one of the great classics of world literature.
The CNB production of Alice in Wonderland premiered in 2021, at Teatro Camões, in the choreographic version by Howard Quintero, co-produced by RTP and now returns to the scene to continue to delight and entertain the public.
