Alphaville Live in Zagreb!

Alphaville, an iconic German Synth-Pop band, left an indelible mark on the 1980s world music. Founded in 1982 in Münster, the band was known for its hits such as "Forever Young", "Big in Japan", "Sounds Like a Melody", and "Dance with me".

Alphaville was founded by Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd and Frank Mertens. The name of the band was inspired by the film Jean-Luc Godard of 1965. Their first single, "Big in Japan," became a worldwide hit and opened their way to success. The album "Forever Young", released in 1984, was a great success and included songs that became a symbol of generations.

Alphaville was one of the first bands to use the potential of synthesizer and electronic music. Their characteristic sound, which combined melodicity and experimentality, inspired many other artists. Although they had limited experience with instruments, their creativity and innovations led to the creation of some of the biggest hits of the 80s.

after the first successful years, the band has gone through several changes in the composition. Marian Gold remained the only continuous member of the original lineup. Alphaville continued to make music and release new albums, including "Catching Rays on Giant" from 2010 and "Strange Attractor" from 2017.

Although they rarely performed live in the early days because of technical limitations, Alphaville regularly holds concerts around the world today. Their performances are an unforgettable experience for the audience, which returns at the time when their songs were part of everyday life.

Alphaville is a band that marked generations with its iconic songs and innovative access to music. Their influence is still felt today, and their concerts are always a special event for anyone who loves Synth-Pop and New Wave music.
