About event
The QUEER CITY WALK "Persecuted as homosexual" is dedicated to the life stories of people who were persecuted as homosexuals during the Nazi era and provides insights into a hitherto hardly researched topic in Vienna's history.
< p>From the Gestapo headquarters on Morzinplatz, this Queer City Walk leads through the 1st district to the ARCUS memorial on Karlplatz, from one of the central places of persecution to the central place of remembrance. The focus is primarily on the Stories and biographies of less prominent queer people and their meeting places, which were important points of reference even in times of persecution.
This Queer City Walk looks for the people behind the criminal files; it shows their suffering and their courage to express their own sexual orientation .
Are you curious? Then join us on this QUEER CITY WALK🌈!
