Amadeo Bonaiuto (Argentina) - Trumpet, Composition

Amadeo Bonaiuto is an Argentine trumpeter, Berlin lives. He studied at the "Escuela Superior de Música de Neuquén", where he later gave lessons and master classes for more than ten years. He also worked as a deputy trumpet teacher in the symphony orchestra under the direction of Maestro Andrés Tolcachir and in the Big Band under the direction of Maestro Osvaldo Lichtenzveig. He took lessons in Buenos Aires with Juan Cruz de Urquiza, Sergio Wagner, Richard Nant, Gustavo Bergalli and Valentín Garvie and took part in the “Isla Verde Bronces” international festival with international teachers such as Adam Rapa and Ronald Romm. He was a teacher in various social educational programs such as "Suena Música", a project in which a secondary school was equipped with musical instruments and the teacher also gave lessons on all instruments in addition to the management of the ensemble. He also participated in the Confluencia School Orchestra, in this case as a trumpet teacher in the poorest slumvios. Many of the students of these projects work today as a trumpet teacher or freelance musicians. In the classic world he was the first trumpeter of the Río Negro Philharmonic Orchestra and as a guest of the Neuquén Symphony Orchestra. He also played in several brass ensembles, such as the Patagonia Quartet Trumpet. His research work as a teacher and student prompted him to write and edit two books, namely "El Pensamiento Armónico en La Trompeta" (Editorial Melos, 2016) and "A Brass Tree", which was published independently. He traveled through all of Latin America to present his own music and to give master classes for trumpet and improvisation at renowned institutions such as the Lima National Conservatory (Peru). In Berlin he currently appears with the Composer Orchestra Berlin (an ensemble in which all participants are composers) and as a freelancer in different groups. He is currently heading his own project "Amadeo Bonaiuto Quartet", in which he develops a sound that is based on the fusion of jazz and folkloric rhythms from Argentina and South America such as Chacarera and Zamba.
