Anatomie du désir

Boris Gibé returns to Prague with a brand new production, which the audience at the Arena will see in the Czech premiere.

Anatomy du désir is a theater production that draws the audience beyond the boundaries of classical theatre. The evening begins with a culinary experience in total darkness in a space evoking a large anatomical panopticon (“Le Grand Panopticum Anatomique”). At the center of the production is the "Being", which is located in a cosmic body without boundaries, without outside or inside. Through it, in a combination of the play of lights, dance and theater, Boris Gibé's performance uncovers the invisible layers of human desire and dissects the layers of our subconscious, and not only them.

"I would like to offer a new perspective on the anatomical bodies of women who pass through the ages and carry with them the aesthetic and ethical burden of their eras. I want to return the full power of the object of desire, knowledge and fascination to the deeper mystery that these unique artifacts contain. It is an examination of the anatomy of our unconscious, which embodies our bodies and connects them with the cosmos. This poetic journey is based on scientific research. The production opens up reflections on our 'first brain' - the belly - which determines our sensitivity and emotions, in a dance where the microcosm and the macrocosm merge into one." 12. 6. is played in the English language.
