About event
They are Germany's a cappella German poets. Her style: Catchy melodies and intelligent lyrics. Differently write smart pop songs in German that take the a cappella performance form seriously and are more than just cover songs of current chart hits that imitate instruments or nostalgic songs about the flora on the balcony. They inspire their audiences not only at their own concerts, but also in the opening act for bands like Revolverheld or Thees Uhlmann. anders guarantee a brilliant a cappella show with an unmistakable pop sound, authentic songs and a closeness to the audience that is second to none. They will be supported until the joint final by the pop and show choir mongrooves from Berlin-Friedrichshain.
So shortly before - who doesn't know them? Those moments in which your pulse rises to your head and your heart races. Dare to have your first kiss? Jumping from the 10 meter board? Tell your boss what you think? Speak uncomfortable truths? In short: moments in which everything matters. With their new program “So shortly before” the five singers from anders go all out and sing about life in all its facets in their own poetic way: humorous, melancholic, philosophically questioning and self-confident.

ANDERS are winners of the St Ingberter Pfanne 2020 (audience prize & special prize from the Minister of Culture), the Vokal.total Festival Graz 2019 (1st prize in the POP category) and the SoLaLa A-Cappella Festival Solingen 2019 (Jury Prize & Audience Prize). In 2019, anders was awarded the CARA Award in the USA as the best European a cappella album for her album “Much Ado About You”. They also won first prize at the Aarhus Vocal Festival 2024 and were awarded the Baden-Württemberg Cabaret Prize 2024. With “So shortly before” the Freiburg formation shows once again that they can already compete with the big names in the scene.
