On Tuesday 3rd December we will come together to celebrate the birthday of our dear friend Mostafa Anwar!
Mostafa is a musician, poet and scientist but above all he is a friend who is going through terrible difficulties: < br/>
Mostafa's special instrument — the tampura — which is the source of his musical expression, was tragically damaged in an accident, in which a taxi driver ran over our friend, on a pedestrian crossing in Lisbon.
As if that wasn't enough, the recent coup d'état in Bangladesh has cast a shadow over Mostafa's family, putting them in a very precarious situation financially and bringing even more stress to their very difficult circumstances.

Mostafa has already obtained Portuguese citizenship, however the Portuguese state has left him until now without any social support. At this moment there is no job or any prospect of economic support — for income and basic expenses such as food — other than the goodwill and help from all of us!
Your participation in this birthday night will offer him the HOPE and SUPPORT he so desperately needs.

However, the Portuguese state's social services are letting him down by refusing any social or financial support to help him survive these serious adversities. Mostafa's beloved tampura, the heartbeat of his musical expression, was tragically damaged in an accident. This loss changed a vital part of his artistic voice. He hasn't received any compensation for the loss of his irreplaceable instrument.
On top of these serious calamities, the recent coup d'état in Bangladesh has cast a shadow over Mostafa's family, placing them in a precarious situation and adding immense difficulties and stress to his already challenging circumstances.
