About event
On May 30 and 31, prosecutor at The Rollercoaster has the pleasure of presenting Anja Huwe in a concert at the Hard Club, Porto, and the Republic of Music in Lisbon, respectively.
Anja Huwe is the iconic vocalist of the legendary post-punk movement xmal deutschland. Following the band's success with four albums in worship publishers such as 4ad, Huwe pursued a career in the visual arts, never having her passion for music through various creative platforms.
invited by her longtime friend Mona Mur, musician, songwriter and producer, Huwe rebuilt her decades in music and decided to join her Berlin studio. Together, they worked for a year and a half, composing, playing and producing the root ranges, which would eventually become the album “Codes”, released this year by Sacred Bones Records in New York. The album features distinct electronic sounds, as well as the unique guitar style
Xmal de Manuela Rickers.
Anja Huwe's return to the stage with the presentation
of her exquisite solo album “Codes”, along with a solid selection of Xmal Deutschland classics in modern interpretations is unexpected, but long awaited. “Codes” is the missing page in post -punk history books, the paint just spread through the decades screen - it is the product of the tireless desire to survive in its own terms.
Tickets for this concert will cost 25 € and will be available from 10 am on online, FNAC, FNAC,
CTT, Worten and Online Masquetket. See less
