Anna B Savage
Using music as a guide, as a headlight, always comes by the way. Whether it's a new reference or something you are looking for - or finds - years later, the suggestion of having something in which we cling is strong. This comes by Anna B Savage. Londrina has an unusual talent to evoke a number of good and so many demonic things that existed at Folk and Pop-Indie-Rock of the last thirty years. It is worth not moving around these references and go straight to the subject: there is very easily here a PJ Harvey.
But the world has changed and no longer needs a PJ Harvey. The world has changed and when comparisons with the big ones, there is a tendency to think it is the same. It is not. In the early years of his career - long before the first album - Anna B Savage carried her music with the irreverence of the moment, not knowing very well where to situate her or if she really wanted to locate her at a specific point. Then came the albums, “The Common Turn” (2021) and “In | Flux” (2023), both at City Slang, where we remembered the irreverence of Weyes Blood and with it - the same kind of demons. 2025 and there is a new album, which is an escape for a place to stop looking for these references. Perhaps to look for others, or feel Anna B Savage as something integer, ready to fly, looking for another way. The new songs are a love letter to Ireland, not to the country, but to the folkloric imagination that contaminates a lot of art/culture. A love letter that is written with the fluency of the exacerbated and epic love songs - forever is forever - that seek landscapes that serve a novel. And in these landscapes, which are heard in the instruments and voice of Savage, they run stories and moments to set images in these places. Images to create such references that we lose with this new Anna B Savage. Without PJ Harvey or Weyes Blood, we just have Anna B Savage. It is she who found in 2025, to find himself to her own, to be her own lighthouse. As

Daudi Matsiko
It takes a special quality to stand out in the often saturated field of Singer-Songwiter, but somehow Dudi Matsiko can. His serious and hoarse voice invites him to come as a listener, asking him to listen to the stories he is telling, while accompanied by the delicate intricacies of his acoustic guitar. Melancholy that resembles Nick Drake is tempered by contemporary percussion and instrumentation, and Matsiko's vocals derive their strength from their apparent fragility, a urro in the notes that may or may not be intentional. In each song, their confessional lyrics go to the marrow.
