A SHARP PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER ABOUT 'INEVITABLE CRISIS OF THE CONTEMPORARY MALE
Who is he really Peter? Is he really an irreproachable professor, idol of his students and author of a successful book? Or maybe something else is hidden behind the mask of a respectable man and good family man, an unspeakable secret that an old flame of his knows well.
Elio Germano gives the character of Pietro a dazed face and a tense and lanky body , from the repressed and neurotic movements of a man in crisis, obsessed by the weight of the past. And he confirms to us once again, as if there were still any need, that he is one of the few heirs of the great interpreters of Italian cinema, the worthy successor of actors of the caliber of Gian Maria Volontè, Vittorio Gassmann and Nino Manfredi, capable of creating unforgettable masks at the service of the story told on the screen. Alongside him is a very respectable female cast, among which the talented Federica Rosellini stands out, who in the film plays Teresa, a student whom Pietro convinced to study mathematics and whose lover he later becomes. And it is Teresa herself who, through a murky game of love, will, against her will, become the guardian of Pietro's intimate secret. The film supported by the dissonant soundtrack by Thom Yorke (Radiohead), was presented at the International Film Festival in Rotterdam.
