On September 24, 2025, from 18:00 to 20:00 in Berlin, a report will be held with the subsequent discussion on the topic “Anti -Sionism, Anti -Semitism and Debat about Israel”. The event is held BVRE E.V. The Soviet Union was the decisive stage during the Cold War: Soviet propaganda depicted Israel as a tool for Western imperialism and equated Zionism with national socialism. This led to the notorious UN resolution of 1975, which declared Zionism the form of racism. These ideas were rooted in the left anti-colonial discourse.
Together with Ksenia Poluektova-Crimmer from the Libinita Center to study the latest history, we will discuss how certain left-wing movements in their criticism of Israel are based on Soviet cliches and mixing Zionism with a myth about “world Jewish influence”. And also talk about whether the border between the left and “new” anti -Semitisms is erased. Is hostility in relation to Israel by covering hostility towards Jews in general?
