About event
We welcome the first time at the Kunsthofköpenick
Maria Schüritz
Maria Schüritz is a musical flaneurine and vagabond. Antihelden populate their soul -spiring songs and tell about broken downs and metamorphoses. They also take a close look at various social issues. The great curiosity of the song poet is also reflected in the musical diversity: traces of chanson, jazz pop, world music and experimental music mix to the soulrock vibe. The Leipziger inspires with the diverse facets of her voice-from gently jazzy to spoken Word to rousing soulpower accompanied with fine to groovy guitar.
her current album "Through the Night" (R.U.M.-Records/Löwenzahn, 2024) already ended up on the Longlist for the price of German record criticism 3/24 and is represented in the song best list. In 2024 she was honored in the pop music competition in Saxony, received the Liederlute Promotion Prize in 2023 and in 2022 the 1st Jury Prize of the legendary Hoyschrecke.
Unexplained only to the guitar and with live loved soul checks, rhythm meshes or sound collages fled out. With us !!
