Artificial Intelligence: Blessing or Curse?, by Diogo Freitas, assures the reader that Artificial Intelligence (IA) is here to stay. Therefore, it is essential that we are all prepared to receive it. It turns out that the evolution of this technology will not only bring benefits but also, assures Diogo Freitas, harms that may far outweigh the benefits.
Once general artificial intelligence is achieved, a Pandora's box will open and in this moment may be too late to stop the runaway. Singularity is a point from which the unknown prevails and that is what should concern us
In this Artificial Intelligence: Blessing or Curse?, a book that was intended to be simple and direct, easy to read, you will find an explanation of what AI is, the current problems and benefits, the risks we will have to take if we maintain its uncontrolled development and even suggestions on how to deal with these changes. In the final part, you will be surprised by the opinions of some guests on this very relevant topic.
At the end of this book, the reader will be able to analyze this technology critically and draw their own conclusions. Is artificial intelligence a blessing or a curse?
