Isabel Milhanas Machado
was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1992. Lives and works between Lisbon and Mértola. She has a degree from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon and a master's degree in Theater — Performing Arts from the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. She has worked in the area of culture since 2013, as a cultural mediator and producer of shows. He writes theater and poetry, having published the plays Robes, Os Ratos and Apeadeiro Sul. He twice received recognition for new playwrights from AELG, having brought to the stage the play Declaration of Love in 2022. That year, he published Azul e verde, a book of poems with drawings by Rafaela Nunes. He founded in partnership the artistic structures Casa Mãe (2013) and Coletivo Câmara (2018), in which he assumes artistic and administrative functions. Throughout 2021, with Coletivo Casa Mãe, he produced the online reading cycle It's All Right. In 2023, he participated in the collection Contos Pequenas Exemplars and began the cycle of readings and performance Do Pé Prá Hand with Coletivo Câmara. She is currently a PhD student in Performing Arts and Moving Image and coordinates a cultural space in Lisbon.
