Digital craftswomen and video game builders, be praised forever!
Recently, our ludonarrative hearts were hit by a thorn of sad news, because we learned that this year Bratislava Game Jam is being shelved. The kids from Mladé Psa left behind a beautiful legacy that established itself at the top of Slovak video game events, and it was not for nothing that it was objectively the best event of every year.
We have been a loving part of Arcade Watch from the beginning. Whether as producers, judges, cheerleaders, supporters or streamers of produced results on streamed games.
Similar to moss, we also grow best in the shade. Ideally in the shadow of legends. That's also why we decided to pick up the torch of video game crafting and, with the blessing of BGJ, try to make something this year.
And so we make Arcade Watch Game Jam, where you can make video games.
Enough listing, let's get to the bullet points:
- The first (zero?) year will be online
- Anyone can participate
- Teams should have a maximum of 4 members. You can only vouch with honor.
- Submitted projects must be submitted via the AWGJ itch.io event.
- We are still working out the detailed rules. Well, we already have a theme and actually one rule.
- At the end, we will stream all properly submitted pieces on our YT channel.
- There will also be a sympathy contest, voted on by the applicants themselves.
- So enjoy your closest artisans, get creative collectives together and, most of all, mark the date in your calendars.
And be sure to join our discord, where we will gradually reveal more information joint discussion. Alternatively, you can find comrades and comrades in the collective there.
