Sign up for the Zuidas Architecture Workshop in Amsterdam and learn to capture the modern buildings in this business district with all their patterns, windows and sleek angles. You will work on composition, lines and cuts. As an extra, Arnold van der Zee will discuss black and white photography.

This is what you will learn
Important elements during the workshop are composition, lines and cutouts. Instructor Arnold van der Zee teaches you to discover new perspectives by working with different points of view. The power of your architectural photo comes from playing with these different perspectives. The many glasswork in the buildings provides beautiful reflections of the sky, water or other structures. You will also get to work with black and white photography. Learn to work with contrast and give the abstraction in your photos even more meaning.

Location the Zuidas
On both sides of the Ringweg-Zuid (A10) between the rivers Amstel and Schinkel near Amsterdam is the Zuidas business district. South Station is in the middle. The design of the area is comparable to that of La Défense in Paris and the Docklands in London. The Zuidas has a beautiful range of modern buildings full of lines and patterns of pillars, windows and sleek angles.

Climbing "De Valley"
Part of this architectural photography workshop is climbing the recently completed building "De Valley". You will photograph this impressive structure and Arnold will explain how you can prevent falling lines caused by visual distortion.
