Exhibiting architecture may at first glance may seem paradoxical, but architectural shows were a natural part of the communication of architectural themes to a wide audience. The exhibition, as an ambiguous medium, has the ability to not only represent architecture, but also the issue and illustrate topics that can be less visible from the perspective of classical history of architecture. What did the architects imagine as socialist exhibitions and why did a visitor want to ban one exhibition? The lecture will focus on selected architectural shows from the 1940s to 1960s in Prague.
