Architektúra v galérii: Tomáš Boroš a ateliér DOXA

We invite you to the next lecture from the Architecture in the Gallery series, which will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. in the library of the Central Slovak Gallery, Bethlenov dom, Dolná 141/8, Banská Bystrica

Tomáš Boroš works at the interface of the academic and architectural environment. He currently holds the position of head of the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Arts of the Technical University in Košice. In 2020, he co-founded the architectural studio DOXA in Košice, together with Ondrej Jurč and Maroš Mitra. The studio is built on a constant process of discovering the context and searching for an authentic architectural attitude. In the background of the critical reflection of customary principles is the effort to constantly move — to be open to moments of collective creation and co-authorship.

The work of the DOXA studio focuses primarily on public institutions at home and abroad. His most important projects include the new observatory in Prostějov, the extension of the Gočár Gallery in Pardubice and the interior of the P. O. Hviezdoslav Library in Prešov, which won the CEZAAR prize in the interior category.
