About event
We invite you to the last lecture in the Architecture in the Gallery series in 2025. This time we will be lectured by Ľudovít Kupkovič from the VAL association.
The prospective architecture projects of the VAL association are an expression of the self-confidence of modern art that goes beyond given limits. At the same time, they also serve as a space for communication between people and the opposite of the hermetically sealed art for the elites. These visionary projects were not created to order, they were created without an assignment, without a perspective of implementation.
VAL members – Viera Mecková, Alex Mlynárčik and Ľudovít Kupkovič created them as a synthesis of science, art, technology and nature. They were based on the principle of appropriating reality and demystifying art. They were sublime manifestations of the desire to find one's own free world.
Lecturer: Ľudovít Kupkovič
Concept of lectures on architecture: Ing. arch. Rastislav Udžan, PhD.
Date and time: December 16, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. (Tuesday)
Place: Bethlenov dom (Library), Dolná 141/8, Banská Bystrica
Entrance fee: EUR 3 / person
The Central Slovakian Gallery is founded by the Banskobystrica self-governing region.
