About event
Discover German architecture! (ENG BELOW)
Come for an evening full of architecture. The inspiring lecture from the series "Affordable housing" will be complemented by the film "Women of the Bauhaus". The studio has been dealing with the issue of housing since its inception. He designs projects ecologically, sparingly and with consideration for future generations. He actively works with the Baugruppe model, where several acquaintances join forces and finances to build a residential house together. During the lecture in June, the founders of the studio, Johannes Krohne and Bernhard Kurz, will describe how community housing developed in Berlin and throughout Germany. The film is a tribute to forgotten female authors and shows their efforts to establish themselves in fields that were dominated by men at the time.
The lecture starts at 7:00 p.m., followed by a film screening from 9:00 p.m. A reduced entrance fee applies to both events or can be purchased separately.

Discover German architecture!
Join us for an evening filled with architecture! An inspiring lecture from the “Affordable Housing” series will be followed by a screening of the documentary "Women of the Bauhaus".
“Architecture and interior design for the common good” this is how the studio IFUB* (Institut für Umwelt und Baukunst) describes its philosophy. The studio has focused on housing issues since its very beginnings. Its projects are designed sustainably, modestly, and with future generations in mind. IFUB* actively works with the Baugruppe model, in which several acquaintances join forces and finances to collectively build a residential house. During the June lecture, the studio's founders, Johannes Krohne and Bernhard Kurz, will discuss the development of community housing in Berlin and across Germany.
The lecture will be followed by a screening of the documentary "Women of the Bauhaus", which opened last year's Film and Architecture Festival. The film pays tribute to forgotten female artists and highlights their efforts to establish themselves in a male-dominated field.
The lecture begins at 7:00 PM, followed by the film screening at 9:00 PM. A discounted ticket is available for attending both events, or tickets can be purchased separately.
