About event

A special edition of the annual Armand memorial, because this year marks the tenth anniversary of Armand's death. On November 2, we commemorate the Netherlands' most steadfast protest singer and Ruigoord trophy holder (2009). During the memorial, artists inspired by Armand pay tribute to one of the most idiosyncratic and critical minds our country has known in recent (music) history. With another phenomenal line-up this year. Don't miss it!

'De Calle' | Pascal Audenaert, or “De Calle”, has a great passion in his life: cabaret. Like a troubadour, he travels to cultural cafés, festivals and the better pubs in Belgium and the Netherlands, to delight the audience with his guitar and all those beautiful lyrics of yesteryear. His own super idol Armand often sounds through the speakers. Beautiful poetic songs or protest songs, with an opinion but full of lyricism. 'De Calle' is a regular guest during the Memorial and this year he will delight the audience with Armand songs.

Harry Loco |“A guitar, a voice and a screaming harmonica like Dylan in his best years” – The Dutch troubadour Harry Loco has been playing at home and abroad for many years, at festivals, clubs and concert halls. He performed with artists from the 60s/70s, including Melanie Safka (Beautiful People, Lay Down), Slade, Eric Burdon and The Animals, Alides Hidding (Time Bandits), Herman van Veen, Freek de Jonge, Cuby & Blizzards and many others. In 2014, Harry performed at the official 45th anniversary of the legendary Woodstock festival in Bethel, NY. Harry also played at Woodstock 50 and Woodstock 53 where he brought “the candle of Peace to Woodstock” from the Netherlands. A candle lit by the former press officer and friend of Martin Luther King: Harcourt Klinefelter. Harry Loco, singer/songwriter/activist, never a dull moment.
