Aromapéče v prostředí paliativní péče

Aromatherapy is one of the most effective non -pharmacological procedures used in palliative care. It has no ambition to treat or replace medical procedures, its aim is to support and improve the quality of life of a person. It can help with relief from pain, nausea, reducing stress, anxiety, panic, relief of aggression, rage, improving sleep quality. Some fragrances can support memory and concentration, scent the room and create a pleasant environment for life (elimination of odor, inducing memories). In the last moments of life, we can work with the smells in the context of spirituality. Aromatherapy is increasingly getting into the awareness of palliative care in the Czech Republic.
