ÁRSTÍÐIR – A story of harmony and passion
Like Icelandic culture, Árstíðir's music is situated on the border between history and the present. Their songs draw on millennial culture and blend it with the sounds of our time. Genres give way to intention and their compositions celebrate the music of the heart.
Volcanic Eruptions
Árstíðir entered the international scene in 2010 when ash clouds from the Eyljafjallajökull volcano spread across Europe and Iceland became the headlines of the day . And since then they have traveled all over the world. Thanks to the 800-year-old anthem, which they just sang to each other in the station hall, they became viral, and since then, thanks to their dedicated fans, they have already released 8 albums.
The basis of Árstíðir's music is the chemistry between the three members, Daníel, Gunnar and Ragnar, and the common denominator of all Árstíðir's music is their characteristic vocal polyphony, which magically intertwines with the string instruments he plays in the studio and in concerts the French duo Jean-Samuel Bez (violin) and Guillaume Lagravière (cello).
The band is already released in November 2024 ninth studio album Vetrarsól.
The Czech part of the tour is supported by the Artist's Life Foundation.
