About event

The Embassy of Sweden in Austria opens its doors for a mini art exhibition in a relaxed traditional fika setting.

English version below

The Swedish embassy opens its doors to a small art exhibition where you can get to know Swedish artists in a traditional Swedish fika atmosphere. Spend a cozy afternoon with coffee, conversation and creativity. We welcome a group of Swedish artists who are visiting Austria as part of the “Artist Castle Tour” project. Whether you're an art lover, creative colleague or just curious - this is an excellent opportunity to network and socialize at a relaxed Fika meeting.

The doors are open between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Registration for the art exhibition and the Fika is required.

The following artists and artists take part:

  • Amalia Årfelt (“Animals”)
  • Gunilla-Nilla Larsen (“Girl”)
  • Lars Svennersten (“Cow”)
  • Peter U. Wiklund (“Haiku”)
  • Dag E. Malmberg (“Landscape”)
  • Peter Johansson (“Sausage”)
  • Karin Yosok Hyosook Park (“Homonyms”)

The artists take part in the Artist Castle Tour - a joint artist meeting in which six artists with roots in Sweden and six in Austria meet for a week in Albrechtsberg Castle near Loosdorf in Lower Austria meet. The meeting will take place from October 11th to 19th. The castle and art installations are open to the public on several days. Further information can be found on the castle's website: https://www.schloss-albrechtsberg.org/act-artist-castle-tour-25/.
