Art & Tech Days 2024 // OPENING
Event by: K 13 - Košické kultúrne centrá, Creative Industry Košice, Art & Tech Days
Location: Kunsthalle Košice, Rumanova 1, Staré Mesto
About event
We will open the Art & Tech Days festival on November 20 at 18:00 in the Kunsthalle with an inspiring discussion, an audio-visual show and a musical performance.
▸ X-Utopia Debate: In an inspiring debate, prominent personalities from the field of architecture will present themselves and urbanism: architect Jozef Olšavský, urban planner and professor Mitchell Joachim and generative design specialist Benjamin James. It will be moderated by Michal Hladký. The topic of the debate will be the X-Utopia project, which explores the concept of peripheral utopias and offers a new way of thinking about the future of urban and rural areas.
▸ After the discussion, we will commemorate and celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Studio of New media from the Department of Fine Arts and Intermedia at the Faculty of Arts of the Technical University in Košice. The audio-visual show will present the works of students and graduates, and in the form of a live musical performance will respond to the monumental video installation in the former indoor swimming pool.
▸ We will end the evening with a performance by Slovak multi-instrumentalist and music producer Stroon, who will perform in Košice after a long time and provide visitors with a fascinating immersive experience.
Entrance to the opening is free, more info: https://atdays.sk/opening/?lang=sk
