About event
🧬🧬 What is it like to live and create with AI? How do neurodivergent people feel about AI, and what can neurotypical people take from it?
We invite you to the debate, which will take place on October 23 from 5:30 p.m. at the FaVU BUT critical technology with us. The aim of the debate is to focus on the questions that AI raises in art and wider culture, in relation to the concept of otherness, as raised by the idea of neurodiversity. According to her, diagnoses such as autism, dyslexia, ADHD and others are not so much an illness to be cured, but rather an element of identity that deserves representation and support on its own terms. Much like art has always done "by the way", both artificial intelligence and neurodiversity present a challenge to be open to thinking and feeling differently than is neurotypical. In other words, our relationship with machines, as well as with Others, raises many uncertainties and big questions about humans and coexistence. In this context, artificial intelligence is understood both as a technology that forces us to reevaluate ideas about the autonomy of machines, and as a metaphor that names but also misinterprets neurodivergent persons.
