About event
We bring Phillip Bracken into our cozy wine bar in the Arte Hotel Kufstein! He played with us on June 27, 2024.
Phillip Bracken was born in Gosford, Australia, and is known for his urgent voice, his warm stage presence and his familiar and refreshing style. Before he settled in Sydney as a teenager, he moved around with his family for many years. Perhaps it was the early trips that made him move to Poland with his own family in 2013.
As a self -proclaimed musical late bloomer, Bracken only started songwriting in his mid -twenties and released his first EP Everything Looks Better in Candlelight in 2008. His mixture of indie folk and ambient world music, which brought him together with the Polish Ethno-Jazz icon Jacek Mielcarek, led to two live recordings, The Opole Session (2012) and Live at Radio Opole (2015), as well as to other tours that compared him to Ben Harper, David Grey and Jeff Buckley September 2020, the Australian published its cross -genre debut album Wolf Ahead Tiger Behind. Supported by the masterful trio Mateusz Szemraj (Lion Shepherd, Mosaic), Denis Dubiella (Hanimal), Wojciech Lubertowicz (Adam Strug, Masala SoundSystem) goes on a tonal journey through Funk, Ambient Folk, Alt-Country, indie folk and noir, at the tender Harmonies and essential banjos compete against powerful guitar lines and swirling organs.
