About event
The closing weekend of the Lokart 3.0 Contemporary Fine Arts Biennial. Artist Talk with Marian Felde-Szabó, Time Piróth, Zsuzsi Simon and Csaba Kis Róka.
The third edition of the Lokart is at the center of the human body - along with its sensual, symbolic, social and ecological aspects. This year's theme of the Biennale is entitled "My Body, My Castle" and undertakes to map the diversity of body meaning and display through different generations of contemporary Hungarian fine arts. Digitization and new forms of self -representation - particularly topical about body issues. Today, the body has become one of the last authentic experiences through which the individual tries to relate to reality.
The biennial puts this direct physical experience in an artistic context: reflects on the relationship between body and time, the ecological embeddedness of the body, and the body as a symbolic and mythical dimension. The exhibited creations are sensitive to how body -related narratives are formed, how the body will be the primary tool for artistic expression and perception.
The highlight is to display the generations of Hungarian contemporary fine art on a common platform, showing the historical and conceptual context of body representation. Special attention will be paid to pioneering artists who started emancipation thematizing the female body and body experience decades ago.
Start at 11 o'clock in the Ancora Gallery
