Dominic Nahr is a war photographer and has been reporting from conflict zones around the world for more than 20 years.
The Artist Talk takes place as part of the exhibition “Echoes of Everyday Syria” took place in the Leica Gallery Vienna. The exhibition illuminates the tension between political arbitrariness, military control and lived reality in the Syrian civil war - and how control is reflected in landscapes and living spaces.
The Swiss photographer Dominic Nahr (born 1983) has received several awards, including: with two World Press Photo Awards and the Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award. In 2024 he was named Swiss Press Photographer of the Year and works for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung.
