Freethinkers' association De Vrije Gedachte and the Belgian Humanist Association proudly present Atheism Day 2024: an inspiring afternoon full of sharp insights, critical lectures and stimulating discussions about the role of religion in society. Six religion squatters, music, and the presentation of the title Atheist of the Year make this event an absolute must for anyone who values freedom of thought and expression.
Despite hundreds of years of religious criticism, religion remains persistently proliferate. Not only do the arguments for the existence of god, gods, unicorns and other fabrications hold no water, religion also often has a bad influence on people's lives. There is a need to criticize religion, both the truth claims and the moral claims.
