Jodorowský is one of the most original filmmakers of film history. He did not shoot many films, but all of them excel in unique aesthetics and existential dimension. Mole touches Western's Žanro, but his story and his surprising breaks remain completely out of the category. He beats them and achieves a higher level of consciousness, but his wife betrays him. El Topo begins a new existence as a holy man and takes over the liberation of a community of outcasts. The film is characterized by bizarre characters and events, a strong dose of Jewish-Christian symbolism and eastern philosophy. It tells of the violent, black -dressed gunsman named El Topo and his way to enlightenment.
