About event
The film includes a ten-minute intermission!
A film dramatization of the rise of Caesar and the subsequent reign of Emperor Caligula, one of the most famous rulers of ancient Rome. We gradually follow his ambitions, intrigues, perversity and decadence, brutality and madness.
Caligula murders Emperor Tiberius, seizes power and begins to dismantle the Roman Empire from within. The film deals with the pernicious influence of power and depicts the emperor's harrowing life story of depravity and madness, culminating in ultimate destruction.
40 years after its first release, Penthouse Films International comes with an all-new edited version of the shocking cult classic, which contains a large amount of previously unreleased footage. One of the most scandalous films in the history of cinema, a notoriously decadent picture, is finally being released as originally intended.
