Gallery VI Per and Research Center of Industrial Heritage Faculty of CTU architecture invite you to the performance of the ATU book: Automatic telephone panel: Company, technology, architecture. with the social and political context of their origin and their authors. These expertly proposed buildings concealed bulky electromechanical equipment and at the same time expressed technical progress and social importance of the public telecommunications network. However, analog systems were soon replaced by digital, no longer large spaces or human service. Their buildings have lost their meaning, disappear in the hands of new owners and are one of the most vulnerable groups of industrial heritage today. They complement interviews with Jiří Eisenreich and Václav Aulický. The studies accompany period photographs and plans from the collections of Czech and Slovak museums, galleries, press agencies and personal archives, many of which are published for the first time. The current situation of the marginal moments of the remarkable architectural layer is documented by a unique photographic essay Viktor Mácha.
