About event
Au/Ra will bring “Night/Core” to Germany in spring 2026
Au/Ra’s music is just as dazzling as her biography and her artist name. Behind the name Au/Ra is the German singer and musician Jamie Lou Stenzel, who was born in Ibiza and spent her childhood and youth on the island of Antigua. Her voice is big and pure pop, her aesthetics and lyrics are dark, and the music ranges from wavy, spherical electropop to euphoric dance music.
On “Darkside” by DJ Alan Walker, on which Au/Ra sings the lead vocals, the singer shows in a rousing way that this genre can also be given depth. However, this smash hit, which will soon reach 800 million streams on Spotify alone, is just one of many highlights in her discography, which she often fills with creative collaborations. The strong EP “Night/Core” has just been released, with the title Au/Ra fits their genre category very well. Three songs that all develop a stirring energy. The hyperpop-inspired “CRACK!”, with its addictive chorus; the atmospheric “High Fantasy,” which surprisingly briefly borrows some emo guitars; and the playful, old gaming console-sounding “SWAMP,” which shows a new side of Au/Ra.
At the end of May, Au/Ra will be on tour with these and other songs and will at the same time bring their versatile and highly melodic sound to the stages.
