🎶 Audio - listening in the area of Bohuslav Fuchs 🎶

🔎 listen to silence and fine vibrations. The fifth concert from the cycle Auscultation will take us into a space that was created for recall, but we will sound it with contemporary music. He would not accept anything that was not white and without ornaments ⚪❌, or something that would understand progress differently, let alone non -concept. However, he failed very quickly in his ideological starting points - the boundless belief in progress and in the service of contemporary society and simply cannot survive his time and his society. Logically, she must grow old with her. He became the domain of the rich, lost his functionality, and if not, its preservation was usually possible only because of the great conversions, and most of all he became aesthetically beautiful, he became cities decoration, although he always broke up against it. 🌆 However, the works survive their author, and as someone collects irons that no longer iron, cities are collecting buildings that no longer serve their function. And yet - or just because - they are beautiful and amazing without their function… ✨
🏛 Bohuslav Fuchs built cafes, hotels, schools, residential houses, banks or city spa. But he was fortunate that he could design a building for something as incomprehensible and actually broken as farewell, the memory of the deceased. How to make, rationalize and commodify sadness and funeral hall? Can there be a functionalist sadness? 😔
🔇 The only way was, is, and maybe a few more years will be to create space -time for void and silence. 🏛🎼 That's why we decided to sound this spectacular space of sadness and memories with a quiet, resonating music. 🎶
👂 The ear does not hear by itself, and as sadness and memory is not just a matter of senses, and listening is not enough just drums, stirrups and anvils. It is not enough to hear - you need to listen. 🔍🧠 We will explore your ears. 2 (2021)
