About event

Easter: Resurrection, B. Brecher calls to us from the ruins. “Command me your ways,” recites Otto Sander, now reunited with his wife. Anna Seghers writes about her “companions” in the GDR. Helene Weigel awakens the timeless Mother Courage.
Maria Magdalena Ludeweg tells of the flood, the wave that swept her into the other life. In this they keep their productions just as lively as those of Klaus Peymann (+2025) in the Berliner Ensemble with Wedekind's “Spring Awakening”. And Carl Hegemann (+2025) makes a “plea for unhappy love”.
Gisela May wants to quote Brecht and sing chansons for us. Inge Keller plays us from “Aimee and Jaguar.”
They will all rise, be awakened, emerge from the cocoon of their memories. Texts from Sybill Volks's new order "Cafe Finito" and the very dedicated ones by the GDR writer Jens Gerlach: Dorotheenstädtische Monologues will also be used and presented.
