About event
INFINITE WORLDS
Ilona Marsiske, Marina Schreiber, Stefan Tiersch
Opening with artist talk and musical accompaniment: Thursday, January 22nd, 2026, 6 p.m.
The works of Ilona Marsiske, Marina Schreiber and Stefan Tiersch break with the usual and open up visual spaces of experience between macro and microcosm. Marsiske's (*19) works revolve around other worlds, multiverses and the cosmic - as poetic alternatives to lived realism. Tiersch's (*1982) floral interweavings spread across paper, canvas and unusual image carriers such as records and invite you to explore hybrid plants and mythical creatures. Schreiber's (*1958) delicate sculptures made of interwoven metal threads, beads and polymers, which she calls “biomorphic abstractions”, are reminiscent of microorganisms in their variety of forms. Through their artistic transformation, they break away from biological models and illustrate the creative diversity of living things.
