We didn't make it last year. There were too many events, we rehearsed two theater performances... and there was no energy left for Poetry Day. This year we are back in full force and therefore invite you to an interactive theater band called Automatofon Elgartka.
The theme of the Poetry Day festival this year is "On the Dam of Music". Partly because of Bohumil Hrabal, who lived in Na Hrázi Street and who would have celebrated his 110th birthday this year, partly for the Year of Czech Music - the "magic four" is associated with Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák, Leoš Janáček and other outstanding personalities of Czech music. The playwright and I took it our own way: we invented an automatic music machine, a jukebox, a kind of music box that you can enter and... but we won't reveal more, come and see for yourself.
Come on Saturday 23 November between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at Elgartka to experience the extraordinary, to observe students in unusual roles and forms, but also to have something good in impromptu coffee shop. You can enter at any given time, the event is also suitable for children, parents, school friends and random passers-by.
