We invite you to an author's guided tour of the exhibition, which will be guided by the author of the works, Lucia Fabová.
Visual artist and painter Lucia Fabová belongs to the unmissable abstract painters
of contemporary Slovak art. In her artistic work, Lucia has long been concentrating on
exploring the physicality and fluidity of a person as an individual, or his mental and physical transformations evoking
fluidity. The organically flowing phenomenon becomes the person himself as a result of identical properties.
In the current creative phase, he works with the snake motif, which is a symbol of change, transformation, shedding
old skin and new beginnings. The motif inspired by the snake refers to the possibility of starting anew - to the
moments when one conceptually "takes off the old skin" and moves on in life.
Faba's painting is characterized by experimental processes in the field of contemporary painting. It combines
monotype and the author's technique (rag painting), in which he uses recycled textiles, lace and patterns
which he waves and shapes. Continuing the theme and by changing painting tools she creates moving,
dynamic compositions evoking forward movement. Her processual painting uses vibrant phasing,
colors and glazes. In this exhibition, Lucia presents large-format paintings,
also solitary works chapters of her creative space. This time she reacts sensitively to the changing moods of society and the inner experience of the individual. In the series of large-format paintings, the author develops the theme of the perception of reality - both subjective and affirmative. optimistically, "rosy". The author sensitively
observes and plays with levels of meaning, leaving it up to the viewer and his inner experience to feel the
atmosphere. The exhibition thus offers space for thought, reflection and an aesthetic experience that is both introspective and poetic. The viewer becomes part of this movement and gradually discovers layers of
meanings that are not visible at first glance.
The exhibition I CAN'T SEE ROSE is an activity of the project With Roots in Trenčín, which is part of Trenčín 2026.
