About event
Sylvie Richterová belongs to the most outstanding personalities of Czech literature of the second half of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century. Her prose, poems and essays open up questions of language, memory and identity, combining the experience of home and exile, the perspective of an author and a literary scholar.
Author's evening moderated by prof. Irina Wutsdorff (University of Münster) will offer a reading from Sylvia Richterová's texts and a lively discussion about her own work and the work of those with whom Richterová deals as a scientist, about the meaning of writing and changes in Czech culture.
The event takes place within the VII. of the World Congress of Bohemian Studies, please register by June 28 at the address [email protected].
