Event by: Simone Dede Ayivi
Location: Sophiensaele, Sophienstraße 18, Berlin - Mitte
About event
After the successful premiere in the Sophiensælen in December 2024 and an invitation to the Impulse Festival, Autsch returns to the festival hall!
This true crime performance deals with the unsolved case of a distraught woman: Simone is not doing well. But who or what is responsible for this? The pandemic? The climate crisis? Is Ms. Ayivi going through menopause or can she no longer afford the rent? Is capitalism to blame or is it simply a lack of proper breathing techniques? The case is complex. As the investigation progresses, it becomes clear: Simone Dede Ayivi is not the only victim. Many people are miserable and they are all looking for an explanation - they shouldn't be too tired for that.
In Ouch, Simone Dede Ayivi & her accomplices go on the trail of the mystery of general misery. The disappearance of one's own well-being is probably the biggest unsolved criminal case in many biographies. In a playful way, the performance attempts to name grievances and bring the question “How are you?”, personal happiness and mastering everyday life from the private sphere into the public discourse. Because when life becomes more strenuous for almost everyone and the quality of life for many deteriorates, neither self-care nor self-optimization will help in the long term.
Together with the audience, Simone Dede Ayivi & accomplices would like to find out how we can work together and in solidarity towards a good life for everyone when no one actually has the strength to do it.
You can find further information, tickets and information about accessibility on the Sophiensaele website.
