About event
Agatha Christie: The Mousetrap
- crime story in two parts -
We are in the boarding house of the young Ralston couple. Far from people, from the world. In the closed playground, in the crime laboratory wedged between the snow banks, the writer even cut the telephone line, as usual. All we know so far is that a woman was killed on Culver Street. Then Trotter, the detective, arrives on skis. And it turns out that the murderer must be among the residents of the boarding house. Agatha Christie brings the characters to us one by one, and proves about each of them individually that - no mistake! - only he, only he can be the killer! But we know that we have to look for one guilty among many innocents. Thus, at the third revelation, we feel deceived twice, at the fourth, three times, and so on... The writer lures us from one trap to another, so that - after letting him out into the open - we voluntarily run into the biggest trap...
Two and half-hour mental exercise. Stage mathematics. Chiki-chiki game. Light entertainment, from which the audience leaves with the knowledge that, look, they have lost their minds again, because with Agatha Christie, EVERYONE IS A SUSPECT.
